2011: best ever A Level and GCSE results - yet again!

Following our recent success in winning the Evening Standard Schools Award, now we are celebrating our school's best ever A Level and GCSE results. Results at Canons High School have improved year-on-year for the fifth successive year.

At GCSE the percentage of students achieving 5 or more passes at grades A* - C is 84%, with 57% achieving 5 or more passes at grades A* - C including Maths and English,  a significant improvement on last year's results. As usual, there were many outstanding individual performances.

Our success is the culmination of so much hard work on the part of our students as well as the dedication and commitment of staff we have at the school. We would like to congratulate examination candidates on such a splendid set of results and, as a school, we are so very proud of them.

Canons High School

Canons High School is a small, high performing specialist mixed comprehensive school in Harrow. Recently we successfully redesignated at a specialist Science College. We were awarded our second  specialism in Applied Learning in 2007 and became a Leading Edge school in 2011

At Canons High School, every child really does matter. We treat children as individuals and value young people of all abilities and talents. We place great emphasis on individual achievement and are committed to providing a quality education that recognises the importance of both examination results and personal development.

Following our latest Ofsted Inspection in April 2010, we were delighted that inspectors graded the school as outstanding.

We pride ourselves on providing a caring, inclusive yet challenging environment for all young people to learn and achieve their potential. Our enthusiasm and commitment to our pupils, together with our drive for continual improvement is what makes Canons High School unique.
