The School Aims
CANONS HIGH SCHOOL: VISION, AIMS AND VALUES
Strategic Intent
Canons High School is committed to raising standards of achievement by ensuring a culture of high expectations and success for every individual student. We will provide challenging and creative learning experiences in a caring and inclusive learning environment in which all students are valued equally and are encouraged to achieve personal excellence and demonstrate respect for themselves and others.
Our mission is to be an inclusive school in which every individual is highly valued and each makes their own contribution. We will enjoy learning, have high achievement, foster lifelong learning and good citizenship within a responsible and caring community that has high expectations of and for all. We will work in partnership with students, staff, parents, governors and other stakeholders with relationships founded on mutual respect, positive attitudes and valuing others. Students will be equipped with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to capitalise on their abilities and interests; make informed and appropriate decisions and relate successfully to others so that they take their place in society as responsible, caring and well-informed citizens. Excellent models of adult behaviour will set the standard. Students' behaviour will contribute to standards of achievement, effective learning and the quality of life within the school.
